College choice: IUPUI
Major: Education Newspaper memory: Michelle and Hudson trying to teach me how to format my section for about 2 days straight. What I’ll miss about high school : Competing in Athletics Any last words: This has been a crazy end to my senior year. I was excited for it to end since freshman year, but never expected it to be like this. I have loved these past 4 years at Merrillville. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The bond that I have felt in this community is amazing. we might hate each other at times, but when it comes down to it we are all proud to be Pirates. It has been like another family for me over the years. I think I will miss that the most. Of course I have participated in many sports over the years, and Merrillville athletics has taught me the most. It has taught me to prepare and practice when no one is watching. When the time comes to step out on the line people only know if you win or lose. They don’t see the hard work, the struggle, the grind. So, it taught me to work my hardest even if you feel like no one cares. Because when it comes time to perform you better be ready, or you will regret not giving it your all. I will miss coming into school every day, hearing “yooo where's your ID” and rushing to find it before that loud voice turns the corner. I will miss representing Merrillville on my back while I compete. Being a Merrillville Pirate means family we will always have each other's backs no matter what. High school had some crazy times, but it will always be some of my favorite times. While one chapter is closing the next one is opening. College comes quick, and I’m excited for what it brings. I want to become a teacher and a coach, and hopefully further down an athletic director. So who knows maybe I’ll be back on day giving a little bit of wisdom for the next Pirates.
